About Essential Signs in Mount William
Essential Signs, a family owned business, operated for over 25 years by qualified signwriter, Nick Marandola. Nick completed his apprenticeship in 1987 and immediately set about gaining valuable experience in the sign trade. He learned and applied the skills of traditional signwriting, such as gold leaf lettering, pinstriping, graphic design, murals, hand crafted lettering, shop front signs, vehicle signage, banners, and more. Despite this extensive experience, Nick craved a greater knowledge of his field, and so chose to work for several larger companies in order to further improve upon his skills. In 1989, Nick decided he was ready to launch his own business, Brush Art Signs, and for the next 15 years, he served both small and large organizations under this name.
Due to rapid changes in the industry, and his determination to stay at the forefront, Nick decided to invest in his business by training in graphic design. Now well versed in programs such as IIIustrator, Photoshop, Signlab, and Flexi Sign, he was able to offer clients a wider range of graphic services. Reflecting the new direction of the business, Nick decided a name change was in order, Essential Signs was born. Nick has witnessed the signage industry evolve from one of traditionally brush skills, to vinyl cut lettering and graphics, to its present focus on large format digital printing, and he will continue to evolve with it.
Essential Signs continues to deliver the highest quality product, service, and technical expertise to our customers, by working alongside them to achieve the best possible results for their specific needs.
